It's been a while since I've been around these parts thanks to my COMPUTER DYING () and then this one getting riddled with freaking viruses... Then my stupid school decided to block dA which is awesome. So, yeah-very sorry to those whose comments etc. from well over a month ago have only just been replied to now!

So much has happened over the time that I've been stuck without decent 'net access:

I turned 18

I quit school

Had my one year dA anniversary

I started drawing/painting again.

So yeah-I few milestones I guess.
MAN it's scary being 18... I'm a legal adult! Here in NZ that means that I can drink and buy alcohol, go to bars, vote, go to R18 concerts (hell yeh), smoke and buy cigarettes, gamble, watch/rent/buy R18 movies etc., and a whole heap of other scary things. I still feel like such a kid though! Meh-I'll get used to it.
Didn't do much for my birthday. Went out for dinner with my family which was nice. I kept falling asleep at the table though as I'd been up for at least two days straight trying to finish assignments...
Mum and Dad bought me a ticket to The Big Day Out! Mum kinda spilled the beans about that one though which, although spoiled the surprise, has given me loads of time to get UBER excited about getting to see TOOL LIVE! I really can't wait to go. I've been wanting to go for years now but it's been near impossible with school always getting in the way...

But that shouldn't be a problem anymore 'cause I'M FINISHED WITH SCHOOL FOREVER! Well, until I decide to go to Uni or tertiary. Which I -do- want to do at some point-but I need some time to catch my breath first. I'm sooo sick of school! The whole 24/7 thing where you get no time to sleep, socialise, be happy, do your own thing etc. drove me friggin' mental. I completely lost motivation and just stopped caring so decided to just give up and quit before I lost it altogether. So, yah-call me stupid for giving up when I had shit all to go but I really didn't need another breakdown. I'm pretty disappointed in myself about it but I don't know whether I could help it. Besides-try going to WCS and see how long you can stand it! Ha! Yeah-I suck.

But, with school out of the picture, I'm actually really happy again! I feel so free! It's been really hard to get used to the fact that I don't have any work to do though... I'm forever feeling like I should be off doing something rather than just relaxing and doing whatever. It feels icky but I should get over it soon.
It means that I've been able to get some drawing done though which feels great. I have one to stick up now but I'll post some of me other work when I get it finished/scanned in.

Ah, yeah-and I've been here for just over a year now. Kinda groovy. w00t for me.

Okay... So I log into dA this afternoon while at school to try and get through some messages, click on my devwatch messages to look at some new deviations, wait for the page to load, but only to have all 250 something unread deviations all suddenly vanish... Whut zee fook?! I still have a bunch of messages but they're all community ones... What happened to my devwatch?! I found the fact that they all disappeared on me weird enough but the fact that even though it has been 10 whole hours since I somehow lost them all, I still don't have any appearing! I've asked people and visited the galleries of some of those that I watch and I know people have posted between then and now and NOTHING has shown up. I'm so confused... Seriously, DOUBLE YOU TEE EFF?

Think I'm weird yet? You will after reading this...

Okay, I think everyone knows how this one goes by now...
I got tagged by about two weeks ago but only got around to reading that particular journal a couple of nights ago... Damn journal pile ups! Anywayz's... As you can more than likely see, this is the '6 random/weird facts' tag. Rules are as follows.

Rules: The player of this "game" starts with the topic "6 weird habits/things about yourself" and people who get tagged need to write a journal about their 6 weird habits/things as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose the next 6 people to be tagged and list their names. Don't forget to leave a comment that says "you are tagged" in their devpage comments and tell them to read yours.

Okay then... Only six?! That's a tough decision...

One: I am really short! Okay, I know that's not particularly weird as such, but it has been potentially LIFE THREATENING. *Dramatic pose* He he-well, so was the case once when I was five years old... I'd just started school and for P.E. classes we were having lessons in the swimming pool. One particular morning, we had to play Ring-Around-the-Roses in a huge circle. Unfortunately, 'they all fell down' right as I came to the middle of the deep end of the pool-being the shortie that I was (and still am), the water was more than well over my head. I wasn't a particularly strong swimmer at that age and panicked a fair bit-I had to be dragged out of the pool by a couple of the guys in my class before long... The school ended up emptying the pool slightly because of this, 'incident'...

Two:I have been unofficially diagnosed with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). I am a complete perfectionist which is something that probably does more harm than good... I can never just DO something-I've gotta keep at it until I'm happy with it, which is sometimes never. Probably a good indication as to why I don't upload a lot of work onto this site... I have a huge amount of silly little habits that I have because of it too (most just too ludicrous to even bother listing). This 'problem' is getting progressively worse and worse and this is something that has been particularly evident over the last few years.

Three: I am basically nocturnal. A good indication as to why you'll often see comments etc. sent by me at around 3 or 4 am... Pretty much caused by the 'OCD' I think-my internal body clock is basically screwed as a result of staying up 'til the wee hours doing work etc. constantly over the last few years. I don't get a lot of sleep during term time (yeah, yeah-it's stupid to do, I know. I've heard it all before) so, come holiday time, I sleep for the majority of the first week and, because my body just isn't used to getting so much of it, I get a bit of insomnia and just can't get to sleep come night time. Sometimes I'm still wide awake at 6am! Yes, I'm crazy-I give you permission to say it.

Four: I'm a ranter! So, beware-do NOT get me started on people who STEREOTYPE, the MAINSTREAM, effing NCEA (New Zealand's absolute bull excuse for an education/assessment system) or our government, many areas of PHILOSOPHY and THEORY, or THINGS THAT MAKE ME PARANOID. You HAVE been warned!

Five: Right, I know that EVERYBODY that reads this will laugh at me for this one... But, here goes I guess. A couple of years ago I became pretty much completely obsessed with the Harry Potter movies after seeing the second in the series. I wanted more than anything to be in one! I scoured the 'net for ways to get auditions and even began writing out a letter to send off to the casting people. I was more than disappointed when I found out that they only let British actors (with a very small amount of exceptions) be in them. So much so, that I began to write a letter (well, rant) about how stupid and completely and utterly unfair this was! I was going to post it on one of opinion poll things on CBBC Newsround but never did in the end. I'm over it now. Hey-it's not that funny. Don't laugh at me. STOP LAUGHING!

Six: Okay, last one. Hmmm... What to choose... Feet-I cannot handle people touching me with their FEET! Anyone who does is in danger of me kicking them or slapping them upside the head-much like this: . He he.

Okay, well, I think that might give you a little idea as to just how bloody looney I actually am. It hardly scratches the surface but I think I'd be too embarassed to release much more!

Hmmm... I doubt that there are many (if any) deviants out there that haven't done this yet... Just do it if you feel the need.
